EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of therapy which helps the mind and body. Often mental health difficulties stem from a traumatic or stressful incident.

EMDR helps us to process this trauma so that it can be stored more helpfully in our memory. The treatment consists of 8 phases, and the number of sessions required to process any difficulties differs for each of us.

How it works

  • Book an assessment with one of the team.
  • During the assessment, we will explore what has been going on.
  • EMDR may be suitable if you have gone through something traumatic.
  • We will then work together with you, and formulate a treatment plan for your therapy.
