Iaysha Nagar
(She/Her)
I’m Iaysha and I am passionate about delivering high quality therapy that is personalised, accessible, caring and compassionate. I am an BABCP Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist who is trained in EMDR.
Having worked in the NHS for over 5 years, I have therapeutically helped people experiencing common mental health difficulties such as Depression, Low self-esteem, Generalised anxiety disorder and all anxiety disorders including PTSD.
I am familiar with working with clients experiencing long term health conditions such as Diabetes, COPD, IBS, Fibromyalgia supporting people with the long-standing effects these conditions may have on their mental health.
I draw upon CBT, EMDR and other approaches including ACT to help improve psychological elasticity. I am fluent in Gujarati, and can provide treatment in this language, in addition to English.
I have a keen interest in management and leadership which has resulted in my currently being a Team Manager for the NHS, and would value the opportunity to help you on similar journeys.
I love being a Psychotherapist and understand the importance of providing a stage for people to share their journey. I get a lot of job satisfaction from supporting my clients. I am honoured and humbled to be part of their therapeutic journey given that this is a difficult and challenging time for them.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to the gym, exploring music and podcasts, and baking.
